Interface Items are used to define stream connectivity with the calling model.
Multiple Interface Items can be used. Normally there is one for defining inlet stream
connectivity and one for defining outlet stream connectivity.
What is calling model?
To connect the model streams
- Select the Composite Model in the Projects tree. Right click on it and select
View | Method to view the interior of the model.
- Note the wire-frame image of the model's symbol in the upper left corner of the
method view. This is the Composite Model's Interface Item.
- Copy the Interface Item.
- Connect the inlet stream to the inlet connector on the first Interface Item. Press
Shift and move the end of the stream nearby the inlet connector of the item.
- Connect the outlet streams to the outlet connectors on the second Interface Item.
- The model looks as bellow.
