In this example you learn how to create a sequenced model composed of two flash
tanks.
Add a Flash
- Add a second Flash by dragging a Flash from the Project Window to the Model
window.
-
Position the new Flash to the right of the first Flash.
Connect the equipments
- Connect the outlet liquid stream from the first Flash to the inlet connector in
the second Flash.
- Point to the outlet liquid stream and click left to select the stream.
- Point to the stream's end point handle, the cursor will change to a cross-hair,
press and hold the left mouse button down and move the cursor to the second Flash's
inlet connector. The cursor is positioned correctly in the connector when the Flash
symbol inverts. Release the left mouse button to connect the stream.
-
Add outlet streams to the second Flash and double click the second Flash to set
the equipment's performance parameters.
- Set the second Flash pressure to a pressure
less than the inlet stream's pressure (recommend 0 psig).
Add a sequencer
- Navigate to the Sequencers
directory and open the Sequencers project. Add a SteadyState_Sequencer by dragging
the sequencer from the Project Window to the Model window.
-
Click left on the sequencer to select the sequencer. Press and hold the Shift key,
point to node 0 (zero) on the sequencer (the cursor changes to a cross-hair) and
press and hold the left mouse button down, drag a new node to the first Flash and
release the left mouse button to drop a sequencing node on the first Flash. With
the Shift key still down, point to node 1 on the first Flash and press and hold
the left mouse button down, drag a new node to the second Flash and release the
