The flow of solids is based on the solids fraction in the First_Outlet stream.
The user can enter the fraction of inlet solids in the First_Outlet or this may be calculated, given the consistency in the First and Second_Outlet as the equation shows:
SOLFRC = (CONSO1 * (CONSO2 * LIQFLOI + (CONSO2 - 1.0) * SOLFLOI)) / ((CONSO2 - CONSO1) * SOLFLOI)
where:
SOLFRC is the solids fraction for the First_Outlet
SODFLOI is the flow of solids in the inlet
LIQFLOI is the flow of liquor in the inlet
CONSO1 is the First_Outlet consistency
CONSO2 is the Second_Outlet consistency
To calculate the required flow of liquor in the first outlet stream necessary to meet the specified consistency, the model uses the following:
LIQFLO = SLDFLO * (1.0 - CONS) / CONS
where:
LIQFLO is the required flow of liquor
SLDFLO is the inlet solids flow
CONS is the First_Outlet consistency
The calculated flow of liquor is sent with the first outlet stream. The remainder is sent with the second outlet stream.
