This page describes what new features are available to you in apiMAX 2.7 relative to previous
versions.
apiMAX v2.7 has been greatly enhanced compared to its previous versions. The new version includes a number of exciting features that provide new functionality and make the product more convenient to use.
More solvents in v2.7
- New solvents were added. Starting with
apiMAX 2.7 the software knows how to work with the fallowing solvents:
Water, Ehtanol, Methanol,
Acetone, Acid acetic, Ethyl acetate,
1-Butanol and Furfural. Our previous version knew
only water and ethanol.
- Vapour liquid equilibrium options. While working with multi-solvents
in apiMAX 2.7 several option models can be selected for Activity model, Saturation
pressure model, Equation of state, K-values.
- Boiling Point Rise. New method was implemented for calulating boiling point rise in mixtures.
Overall Improvements
- Software licenses replace hardware keys. Starting with
apiMAX 2.4 the software does not require hardware keys for installation
and running. The user requests a software license, which is sent by email and can
be imported in apiMAX application.
- Added ethanol solvent. Solvent Plus edition
calculates ethanol physical and chemical properties, alone or in mixture with water
or other specific components in pulp industry.
- New enhanced printing options. Printing functionality respects
WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) standard, meaning that what you see in Print Preview is exactly what you get on paper. Printing to pdf
is available from
version 2.5.
- New tree structure. Starting with
apiMAX 2.7 there is a new Outlook-like tree struture that better separate various items.
- Added new species to the database. The following species have been added: Glucan, Arabinan, Xylan, Galactan, Mannan, Rhamnan,
C6H12O6(gl_pll).
The following solids have been added: Hemi_S, Cellulose_S, C17H18O5(solid), C17H17O5SO3(solid).
Neutrals added: Hemi_D, C5H10O5_xylose, C5H10O5_arabinose, C5H10O5_ramnose, C6H12O6_glucose,
C6H12O6_manose, C6H12O6_galactose, Furfural, Furfuryl alcohol, H2SO3; Anions: HSO3.
- Add new equipment Isothermal Pump.
- Enhanced Calculator options.
apiMAX version 2.7 supports projects created in versions 2.3, 2.4
and 2.5.
