Basic implementation

This Section introduces the basic entities used in apiMAX to create a process simulation model.

Items, Models and Projects are the building blocks used by apiMAX™.

A Project is a collection of Models.

A Model is a collection of Items.

Items are the basic building blocks used to construct a model.

In apiMAX™ a model is a collection of Items, created with a given purpose. There are five types of models:

Case Models - fully specified, they can be simulated standalone and cannot be reused in other models.
Composite Models - parameterized models which are specified as a network of fundamental models or other composite models.
Connector Model - a composite model used to make a connection with a stream.
Stream Model - a composite model used to transfer data from one item to another.
Sequence Model - It is used to set the running order of the composite items.
